NJDC 2006 results


Dear all,

NJDC 2006 took place yesterday. I would like to thank everyone who competed and helped judge and hope they enjoyed the event.

The motions were:
Round One - This House Would Grant Anonymity to Sperm Donors (pre-released)
Round Two - This House Would Abolish Private Schools
Round Tree - This House Would Prevent British Sport Teams competing in dictatorships
Final - This House Would Use Racial Profiling by Anti-terrorist Police in Airports

1 - High School of Dundee A
2 - Grove Academy A
3 - Tunbridge Wells A*
4 - RGS A
5 - Leeds Grammar A
*Tunbridge Wells broke third, but were unable to stay and compete.

The final was won by RGS A, Jonathan Grubin and Richard Coates. Margaret Nicoll was the best speaker in the final. Scott Ralston and Lauren Pringle from Dundee A topped the tab.

The panel for the final was chaired by CA David Tite and included Bob Nimmo, Kirsty Russell, Ewan McDonald, Jenni Harrison, Rhydian Morgan and Rhiannon Brooks.
